Do you feel it?
The constant noise and buzzing overwhelm of life. The tension in your chest and heaviness in your shoulders that doesn’t go away even after a good night rest or a massage session?
The endless weight of responsibilities. That restless feeling where your mind is spinning so fast you can’t sit still, yet you realize you don't even know how to actually feel your body anymore.
The moment of rest that you find, you go onto your phone and start scrolling, comparing yourself with others, getting more dysregulated, feeling shame for doing it every day - yet can’t break the cycle.
Or your body experiences aches and pains, regular headaches, gut issues, background anxiety, chronic fatigue (or put your own symptom here) - you take a pill, you get a new medication and keep going.
Or you feel like you have no time for yourself, you know you want to prioritize your morning routine, your daily stretches/strength training/good eating habits, but you are so busy helping everyone around you and solving everyone else's problems that when you finally find time for yourself you feel exhausted and you feel like you want nothing just dum scroll or binge netflix series.
Let's take a deep exhale here.
I just want to take a moment and acknowledge that you are not alone. Hear it again - you are not alone. Many of us feel this way.
Life demands, society expectations - we all face it. But the sad part that we lived like this for so long that we started to normalize it.
You are simply stuck in a survival mode. That is not living and you deserve more than this.
What if you were given permission to change it? What if you stepped out of the narrative ‘how you should be living’ and stepped into your own narrative, whatever it might look like for you?
Maybe it is more time with your family, or more free moments to just breathe, maybe it is creating time for nature walks or just rest.
Are you ready for a change? Or are you happy to stay where you are now? Honest answer here is the first step in recognising where you are and if you are ready to change it.
This is exactly what this half day retreat in Kitimat’s Vida yoga studio is going to be about. It’s going to be about quieting the external noise and going inwards into our bodies.
Through breath, presence, touch and movement we will connect with what needs to be seen and felt.
Why the summer solstice?
Holding our retreat on this specific day is deeply sacred. The Solstice is the longest day of the year—a powerful time when there is nowhere left for shadows to hide. In this blazing light, the "polite masks" and the "games of the narrative" naturally begin to melt away.
This is a direct invitation to step out of the dim, exhausting fog of overwhelm and stand fully in the light of your own raw, authentic reality.
What to Expect Inside the Circle
We are going to put down our roles of being mothers, caregivers, our professional jobs, masks, and responsibilities that are weighing us down every day, and step out for a moment of the rigid identity we trap ourselves in. Together at Vida Studio, we will experience:
Nervous system regulation: we will soothe your body with beautiful, deeply grounding practices.
Somatic movement & breath: we will reconnect with our bodies, moving for our own healing and pleasure.
Energy balancing: we will look into our masculine and feminine energies and see where there is a disbalance that is causing burnout.
Inner child reclamation: we will invite your inner child back into the room to find a true connection with play.
The art of pleasure (please note that pleasure here has nothing to do with sex as we usually associate it with): we will touch on how to live with more daily pleasure and truly enjoy simplicity again.
Nutritious snacks: to fuel us with beautiful energy for somatic movement.

A final note from my heart
Close your eyes and take a deep breath through your nose and out your mouth. Stay here for a few moments and notice what your body is telling you? Maybe you feel a gentle nudge in your heart or a soft whisper in your chest. Listen to your body - it knows what it needs. The question is are you ready to make the change?
There is no "perfect" version of embodiment required to enter this space. You do not need to have it all together. You just need to show up, exactly as you are.
