Somatic Approach
Many of us live our live from the neck up, moving through the world while treating the body as an object.
Your body is not just a vessel; it is the home where your story lives. Every joy, every worry, and every quiet struggle is held in your posture, your breath, and the rhythm of your nervous system.
Somatics is the art of coming back to that home. It is a gentle, sensory-led practice of listening to the subtle language of your own physiology. By slowing down, we move beyond the noise of the mind to address the tension and heaviness stored deep within your tissues. It isn’t about fixing something that is broken, but rather, rediscovering the ease, safety, and aliveness that was always there, waiting for you to notice it again.
Is this the right path for you?
You might feel like you’ve been doing the work - journaling, therapy, or constantly analyzing your life -
but there is still a part of you that feels "stuck" or disconnected. Know that there is nothing wrong with you;
you are likely just holding onto experiences that your body hasn't had the chance to fully process yet.
You might find this work resonates with you if:
You live in your head: You can explain your feelings perfectly, but you don’t feel them fully—or you feel "numb" to the physical sensations of your life.
You feel "always on": Your mind is racing, your shoulders are near your ears, and you find it nearly impossible to actually "switch off" and relax.
Talk therapy feels incomplete: You understand the why behind your patterns, but your body keeps repeating the same nervous reactions anyway.
You’re tired of "fixing": You’re looking for a way to stop fighting your body and start befriending it, moving toward a place of genuine ease rather than just "managing" your stress.
This is a soft place to land. We aren’t here to judge your body or force it to change. We are here to listen,
to slow down, and to help you find the quiet, steady rhythm that lives beneath the noise.

My Story
Hello beautiful soul, and welcome
Whatever brought you here, a quiet longing to slow down, a desire to feel more present, or a sense that something inside is asking to be felt, I’m truly glad you’re here.
My name is Elena.
I’m a wife, a mother of three, an entrepreneur and a someone who loves life deeply. Over the years, my family and I have lived in five different countries, building lives and businesses across borders.
From the outside, it looked like I had mastered the art of 'having it all.' But inside, the constant pressure of relocating, raising a family, and running a business created a noise I couldn't escape. I often felt disconnected, unsettled, and far from the inner ease I longed for.
I was always in a race, living entirely in my head, until my body finally forced me to stop.
It happened in the form of a panic attack and that moment was a wake up call. It was the moment I realized how my body was trying to communicate to me something very important.
Everything began to shift from this moment. First of all, I realised how much of my life was lived from the place of should. I had an idea that one day I will have time for rest and happiness. It was a pivotal moment for a change.
Naturally, without even knowing about the benefits and the healing power of nature (although now I see it as deep inner knowing), I turned towards it and began to learn how to regulate with it and how to listen to my own rhythm. Old growth forest of Beautiful British Columbia became my holding ground, my safe space.
My nervous system finally found the space to settle.
I began to tap into mindfulness, forest bathing, coaching, and eventually somatic work. Slowly I came to understand my patterns, my nervous system state, and the many years I spent disconnected from my body.
My healing journey began not through understanding my past, but through feeling and processing—witnessing myself in all my imperfection and discovering who I truly am once the layers of conditioning are finally stripped away.
Somatic work changed me.
It helped me feel safe inside myself again. It taught me how to listen, soften, and meet life with more compassion and clarity.
My work as a Somatic Practitioner isn't about adding more to your 'to-do' list; it’s about peeling back the layers of 'should' to find the steady, quiet pulse of your own truth.
Who I Walk With
My story is for those who, like me, have mastered the art of "doing" but have forgotten the art of "feeling" I work specifically with:
The ones who can’t stop running. I work with the ones who can’t stop running because, for you, stillness feels like a threat. The moment you sit down, your mind starts a checklist of everything you 'should' be doing. You feel unproductive, restless, and guilty—so you get back up and start running again just to avoid the discomfort.
The ones who fill every moment of stillness with "doing." I work with the ones who have forgotten how to just BE. If you find yourself with five quiet minutes, you immediately reach for your phone, start a new chore, or check an email. You fill the gaps before you even realize you’re doing it, because the silence feels like a void you have to fill.
The ones who put everyone else first because "that’s just who you are." You do everything for everyone because it’s 'just who you are,' but lately, that identity is starting to feel like a self betrayal. You are tired of being the only one who notices what everyone needs, while no one seems to notice that you are struggling emotionally.
You are incredible at taking care of everyone around you, but you’ve lost the connection with yourself.
The ones who are hyper-vigilant and high-achievers. You are always the first to notice when something is wrong. You scan every room, anticipate every conflict, and keep ten 'backup plans' in your head at all times. You’ve mistaken this constant state of survival for your personality, but your body is simply exhausted from never being allowed to put its guard down.
I work with the one who is tired of mastering the life and is finally ready to LIVE it.
I don't teach you how to "fix" yourself, because you aren't broken. I help you:
Understand the language of your nervous system so you can stop living in "survival mode."
Dissolve the "empty" success and replace it with a deep, grounded presence.
Transition from the "head" to the "body" through the wisdom of your own system.
If you feel like you are living your life for everyone but yourself—if you are successful but exhausted, present but disconnected—I see you. I was you.
You don't need to run anymore.
You just need to come HOME.

Somatic work is a body-based approach to healing that focuses on awareness of sensation, breath, and presence. Rather than primarily talking about experiences, we gently listen to how the body is responding in the present moment. This allows healing to unfold from the inside out, supporting nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and embodied connection. Somatic work complements traditional therapy and is especially supportive for those seeking a more experiential, gentle approach.
-
Not at all. You don’t need any previous experience to begin. Sessions are guided at a slow, accessible pace, and everything is offered as an invitation — never a requirement. Whether this is your first experience with embodiment or you’ve practiced somatic for a while, you’re welcome exactly as you are.
-
A somatic session is not about 'fixing' you; it is about learning to listen to the language your body is already speaking. Unlike traditional coaching that stays in the head, we work with the direct experience of your nervous system in real-time.
We begin by slowing down. Through guided breath, gentle movement - we create a safe space for your system to settle. From this quiet place, we track the physical sensations - the tightness in your chest, the racing in your pulse, or the stillness in your limbs - to understand the story your body is telling. You don't need to 'perform' or 'do it right.' You simply show up as you are, and together we use micro-practices to help your body release stored tension and return to a state of internal stability. It is a process of unlearning the 'hustle' and remembering what it feels like to be at home in yourself
-
Yes. My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and deeply respectful of your nervous system. There is no pressure to revisit memories, share details, or push beyond what feels safe. We move at your pace, honoring your boundaries and your body’s innate wisdom throughout the process.
-
In our sessions together, we follow the rhythm that your body needs most in that moment. There is no 'right' way to start; there is only where you are right now.
The intentional path: you may come to a session with a specific area of your life you want to transform—perhaps you want to lead your business from a place of calm rather than pressure, or you want to show up for your children without the weight of 'functional exhaustion.' We use the body as a doorway to re-wire these specific patterns, moving the intention from a 'thought' in your head to a 'lived state' in your nervous system.
The responsive path: other times, we simply work with whatever is available in the moment. If you arrive feeling overwhelmed, scattered, or stuck in hyper-vigilance, we don't push past it. We meet that sensation exactly where it is. By staying with what is physically present, we allow your body to complete its stress response, move through the noise, and find its own way back to a state of ease. description

Sessions can be done virtually or in person; your nervous system is with you wherever you are.
Services&Sessions
One-on-One Somatic Sessions
An individual somatic session is a sanctuary where we stop the race and finally listen to the silent conversation your body has been having with you for years. Moving beyond "talk therapy," we shift the focus from the noise of your mind to the wisdom of your nervous system and your body, using these four pillars: BREATH, PRESENCE, MOVEMENT, TOUCH to navigate the tightness or "hollowness" left behind by years of survival and proving.
We don’t aim to "fix" or push; instead, we move at the speed of your own rhythm, allowing your body to release the grip of chronic stress and rediscover its natural state of safety. It is a process of coming home—transitioning from a life of "should" into a life of "feel," where you finally give yourself permission to simply be.
Each session is guided by your body’s needs in the moment, with an emphasis on safety, regulation, and embodied awareness.
If you live around Kitimat/Terrace area, I lead somatic sessions in the forest upon request and if weather permits.

Group sessions offer a nurturing space to move, breathe, and explore together. These gatherings invite you into connection… with yourself, your body, and a shared field of presence.
You’re welcome exactly as you are. No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to slow down.

The Sessions
Our time together is a dedicated space for safety, presence, and deep connection. Unlike traditional talk therapy, we prioritize the "felt sense" - listening to the wisdom your body holds rather than just the stories the mind tells.
We begin by dropping into the body through guided somatic meditation. This allows the noise of the outside world to settle, helping you check in with where you are in this exact moment.
We explore your intentions at a pace that honors your nervous system. Whether we are working with breath, movement, or subtle internal sensations, you are always moving at your own pace. Each session is unique, unfolding in real-time based on your body’s immediate needs.
Every session ends with a dedicated integration period. We ensure your system has time to process the shifts we've explored so that you leave feeling steady, connected, and fully supported as you return to your day.
Between Sessions
You’ll receive optional resources such as, gentle practices, grounding prompts, or meditations, to support your process in daily life.
I am here to offer guidance and support as long as you need, and then, when our work together naturally comes to a close, we take time to reflect, integrate, and honor the shifts you’ve made. You’ll leave with tools to continue feeling resourced and connected.
What Makes This Work Different
This work is not about fixing, forcing, or pushing through.
My approach is shaped by lived experience, deep listening, and a reverence for the body’s natural intelligence.
Having lived across cultures and navigated seasons of overwhelm, I understand what it feels like to be disconnected, and how powerful it can be to return HOME to yourself.
I combine the science of the nervous system with the stillness of the natural world. By using somatic movement, breath and presence, we create the internal space your body needs to let go of old stress and build a new, sustainable way of living. Together, we work to quiet the noise of a high-pressure life, allowing your body to regulate naturally and find its way back to its original state of peace.
Above all, I hold space with warmth, curiosity, and compassion, trusting that your body already knows the way.
Welcome.
